Building Peace and Wellness Therapy Services has been a dream — a place where I can offer compassionate, personalized support to those seeking guidance for eating disorders, body image challenges, chronic illness, and emotional well-being.
I’m excited to share my experience and walk alongside you on your journey toward balance, resilience, and a more fulfilling life.
About
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner of Peace and Wellness Therapy Services, where I have the privilege of serving my community through private practice. I've been actively involved in various aspects of mental health care since 2016. I obtained my undergrad degree from Centenary University and my Master's degree from Fordham University.
My professional path has led me through diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, intensive in-home community programs, and partial hospitalization facilities. In addition to providing individual therapy sessions, I have experience leading group therapy, and conducting family sessions.
I have worked extensively with individuals experiencing depression and anxiety, as well as those aiming to enhance their coping mechanisms, boost self-esteem, and better manage stress.
I specialize in supporting those living with chronic illnesses, ostomies, and eating disorders. I provide individualized support and am deeply committed to helping those affected by chronic health conditions, such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, irritable bowel disease, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, and long-COVID. I understand that living with a chronic condition is complex and requires a holistic, personalized approach that addresses both emotional and physical well-being.
My unique perspective comes from my own lived experience with an invisible medical condition. This experience gives me a deep understanding and empathy for my clients, fostering a meaningful therapeutic connection. Through my own path, I’ve discovered acceptance, peace, and joy, and I’m passionate about helping others achieve the same in their lives.
I utilize a diverse range of evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Motivational Interviewing. This integrative approach allows us to address both immediate coping strategies and deeper patterns that may be impacting your well-being. My approach is warm, empowering, and solution-oriented, while grounded in evidence-based care and high ethical standards.
I hold advanced certifications including Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), and Certified Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist (CMNCS). I am committed to ongoing learning to ensure the care I provide reflects the most current research and best practices in the field.
I provide a safe space for you to explore feelings and recognize triggers or contributing factors of mental health issues and identify solutions to overcoming obstacles to overall wellbeing. Together, we can navigate the challenges and celebrate the triumphs that shape your mental wellness. My goal is to help you build insight, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, sustainable change in your life. Your story is significant, and I am honored to be a companion on your transformative journey.
Outside of my work, I enjoy exploring new coffee shops, spending meaningful time with friends and family, and being out in nature. You can often find me practicing yoga, reading, soaking up the calm of the beach, and seeking moments that help me feel grounded and present.
