Jennifer Zator

I am a licensed clinical social worker and I received my masters from Fordham University. I have been working in the field of social work since 2018.  I am dedicated to empowering clients and improving their overall mental and physical wellbeing. I utilize evidence-based treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I use a strengths-based, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to working with clients.

I have worked in various settings and levels of care including outpatient, intensive in-home community, and partial hospitalization. I have experience working with those affected by trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders, low self-esteem, work difficulties, relationship struggles, and invisible or chronic illness. I have a strong interest working with those who have eating disorders or chronic illnesses, including those who have irritable bowl disease, long-covid, and rare conditions. As someone with an invisible illness myself, I understand how it can impact all aspects of life. My personal experience makes it easier for me to connect with my clients and build a strong rapport.

I received training in complex trauma and as a certified clinical trauma professional, I asses whether clients have been impacted by traumatic experiences and how those experiences have affected their thought patterns, feelings, and behaviors. Psychotherapy and mindfulness approaches are implemented to heal the mind and body.

I provide a safe space for you to explore feelings and recognize triggers or contributing factors of mental health issues and identify solutions to overcoming obstacles to overall wellbeing. I customize therapeutic approaches based on your unique needs to help improve quality of life and navigate any challenges. I look forward to working together!
